Rep. Chris Corry hosting a series of open-door meetings to listen to ideas and concerns of local community members

Throughout the summer, Rep. Chris Corry, R-Yakima, will be hosting a series of open-door meetings to listen to the thoughts and concerns of local community members about state government. The 14th District legislator says he's looking for ways to connect people's ideas for change with the legislative process.

“It's time for the barriers to come down. Constituents sometimes feel cut out of the political process, as if their ideas and concerns don't matter. That needs to change,” said Corry. “Open-door meetings like this give me the opportunity to hear from people one on one. Community members, individually or in groups, can come to meet with me and share their ideas and concerns. It's my responsibility to listen and help.”

Corry's open-door meeting include the following places and dates:

Where: Stevenson Chamber of Commerce, 167 2nd St. Stevenson, WA
Dates: June 26, July 10, July 24, and Aug. 7
Time: 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Where: Pioneer Center, 501 NE Washington Room 251, White Salmon, WA
Dates: June 12, June 26, July 10, July 24 and Aug. 7
Time: 12:30 p.m.–2:00 p.m.

Where: Goldendale Courthouse, 205 S. Columbus, Chambers Room 101, Goldendale, WA
Dates: June 12, June 26, July 10, July 24 and Aug. 7
Time: 3:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

Constituents unable to attend are welcome to contact Corry's district office to schedule a meeting; send email to chris.corry@leg.wa.gov or call (509) 454-7210.
