Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Rep. Gina Mosbrucker and I sent out this press release today regarding the virtual 14th District town hall that had been scheduled for this evening. Due to the possibility of floor session, we have made the decision to reschedule our event to Wednesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. You'll find more information below in the press release.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Floor session necessitates rescheduling of 14th District virtual town meeting to March 17
Rep. Gina Mosbrucker and Rep. Chris Corry announced this morning that due to floor session today, they are rescheduling their 14th District Virtual Town Hall Meeting to Wednesday, March 17 from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. The meeting had been scheduled for 6 p.m. today (Feb. 25).
“Lawmakers in the House have been involved this week in a series of floor sessions that have been going into the evening. We've been informed there is a high likelihood the House will be voting on bills again this evening around the same time that our original town hall meeting had been scheduled. We certainly want to hear from our citizens back home. We also know how important it is to be voting during these floor sessions,” said Mosbrucker, R-Goldendale.
“We've rescheduled the virtual town hall meeting to a time and date that we feel more confident will not conflict with floor sessions and our ability to vote on important legislation that could affect the 14th District,” added Corry, R-Yakima.
Participants who have preregistered for the cancelled Feb. 25 conference will not need to register again. Those who would still like to preregister for the March 17 conference can go to https://tinyurl.com/eiv6jinc.
