Rep. Corry joins Kevin Malcom on KLCK to discuss bills going through the House

Rep. Chris Corry, R-Yakima, joins KLCK's Kevin Malcom to discuss some important bills going through the legislative process this session.

Corry's bill, House Bill 1772, is focused on putting a check on the governor's emergency powers. The bill would require the Legislature or the legislative leadership to meet 60 days after an emergency is declared to determine if the state of emergency should continue or not.

Rep. Corry also discussed the budget surplus in Washington. The 14th District lawmaker and other Republicans would like to see some sort of tax relief approved.

Rep. Corry also covered the Long-Term Care Act which had an 18-month suspension passed in the House and is heading to the Senate for consideration.
