As session end draws near, Rep. Corry discusses Democrats’ budget maneuvers

Rep. Chris Corry, R-Yakima, reviews with KIHR how House Democrats switched some of the funding for their $16.8 billion transportation package, removing the 6-cent fuel export tax that caused an uproar with neighboring states and replacing it with money from a public works account that funds projects in communities across the state. Corry also discusses how Democrats rejected Republican efforts to provide tax relief in this year’s supplemental operating budget and talks about a resolution he and others sponsored honoring Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp.
