Rep. Chris Corry talks death of rent control, threat of natural gas ban with KIT

Rep. Chris Corry, R-Yakima, joined KIT during the final week of the 2024 legislative session to share some victories and more. Corry pointed to the defeat of a rent control bill as one of the big wins of the session, noting that had that passed it would have worsened Washington’s housing market. Corry also counted the three initiatives passed by the Legislature and the the three headed to voters as wins. But he also warned the bill to effectively ban PSE from providing natural gas was very much still alive and, if passed, would cost Washingtonians.
