Rep. Corry speaks against legislation that would give unemployment benefits to striking workers
Rep. Chris Corry, R-Yakima, speaks against legislation that would give unemployment benefits to striking workers. He calls it an expansive overreach and says it puts the sate on the side of striking workers in an unfair advantage against their employers with whom they’re negotiating. He also stresses that unemployment insurance benefits are there for people who are temporarily and involuntarily unemployed.
